'Jinga’ comes from the Portuguese word ‘Ginga’. A uniquely Brazilian concept, it signifies the way you move, the way you express yourself and the unique style that you bring to everything you do. Jinga shoes are about helping you release your ‘Jinga!’
Hailing from Brazil and originally designed for Capoeira, the Brazilian martial art demanding lightning speed and agility, Jinga shoes are the ultimate in lightness and flexibility and are designed to offer all the sensations of going barefoot. 

The slimline sole of Jingas means that your feet are encouraged to move ‘naturally’.
Too much cushioning means we lose touch with the real impact our feet make on the ground, and walk as if we have weights on the end of our legs.

Wearing Jingas makes sure you literally have your feet on the ground, you can feel the different parts of the foot engage with the ground and start to use the muscles in your feet as nature intended, giving a Brazilian spring to your step!

Jingas are finished by hand and made in Brazil, in a factory monitored to ensure ethical production standards. Jinga also provides the funding for a social project in one of Rio’s favelas.

Jingas combine an ultra light weight upper with a slim line sole to offer you maximum flexibility and a true barefoot sensation.

Jingas are certified by the Vegan Society and use no animal products in their manufacture.
