In 1999, the Romay brothers set out to redesign the basic structure and shape of the 'regular' sock. Their intentions were pure and very simple: “We wanted to create the best possible interface that would allow the entire foot to perform naturally and freely inside our shoes - just like being barefoot. There had to be a way to combine the comfort and dexterity of bare feet with the protection of a seamless sock. Everything about the conventional tube sock works against your feet’s natural form and function.”
Here is how the Romay Brothers explained it further: Think of gloves and mittens - "Mittens keep your fingers together to create a warmer, oven-like environment, while gloves offer less warmth but more dexterity. The same principles can be applied to our feet. Conventional socks force your toes to work together as one unit, creating unprotected friction, heat and moisture build up, and constricting the circulation of the foot. Have we been wearing mittens on our feet all this time?"
From this, the Injinji socks were born and since their first range, the Performance line, Injinji have continued to widen their range!
Technology Explained >>>
Technology Explained
The Injinji Yoga Socks are quickly becoming the first choice of sock for yoga enthusiasts as they offer the freedom of movement and flexibility of being barefoot while reducing friction between the toes to prevent blisters. They have been specifically designed for yoga and have slip resistant grippers on the bottom of the foot to give traction on gym floors and mats. Injinji Yoga Socks have been engineered with AIS technology and constructed with a wicking fiber made of CoolMax® freshFX which includes silver, a metal that naturally prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi. Thanks to these technologies, the Injinji sock consistently out performs any ordinary tube closed sport sock.

1. The Anatomical 5 Toe Design wicks moisture from between the toes to reduce friction and prevent blisters. It also allows for proper alignment of the toes for a natural range of motion.
2. The light compression gives arch support and stability to the mid foot whilst also keeping the sock in place and preventing bunching.
3. The Vector heel has been precisely stitched to give a custom fit and anchors the heel to prevent slipping.
4. The dual welt band has a non binding, double layered construction which holds the sock in place.
5. There are slip resistant gripped on the sole to give excellent traction and control.
Anatomical Interface System (AIS) is engineered to separate your toes with a thin, anti-friction membrane that is both lightweight and breathable. Seamless in construction, the sock forms to every contour of your foot. This allows for true restriction free movement from your heel to five toes, encourages healthy circulation, and eliminates skin on skin contact between your toes to prevent blisters from developing.
