Sports Therapist Jenny Stickland M.C.Th.A has studied diet, nutrition and fitness for over 30 years and currently runs her own practise. Having tested Power Diet over a 8 week period she reported the following:
COMFORT AND FIT.
Exceptionally comfortable from the start, plenty of room across the toes, snug heels no tension or pressure on the Achilles tendon. Arch support good, non slip sole good, shock absorbing for impact also good for better performance.
PERFORMANCE
Care is needed when embarking on an exercise regime with Power Diet - it is important to make sure your feet and body have had time to adjust to the weighted insoles. I found I could move forward to the heavy weight insoles after a period of 10 days. This time period did help with adjustment to the weight of the shoes and lessen the tension on ankles, calf muscles and hip joints.
I found running in the shoes hard for at least 2 weeks and then only in short burst of 100mts - simply because of the extra load. I followed my runs with brisk walking and 100mt gentle jogging alternating. I use the Stu Mittleman method of working out, which consitst of SLOW BURN exercise (burn fat faster by exercising slower). Working at your most efficient fat burning pace you exercise longer with no fatigue, burn out or loss of enthusiasm.
Over the period i lost 1/2 inch from thighs, hips, waist, and my fitness levels improved significantly.
For the last 2 weeks I have not used the shoes due to holidays, I resumed 4 days ago and can feel my body working hard, I now feel stronger in my legs and am able to jog in the shoes without feeling I might injure myself.

Product Comment : I have had my Power Diets for nearly 3 weeks now and can feel the difference already. I find them comfortable to wear and can keep up with people who aren't wearing them on a long walk. The first few times I wore them my legs were slightly achy in the morning but I put this down to my muscles working properly. I think they are a great product if you like walking as once you get used to them you forget about the weights but know they are burning of more calories than if you were wearing normal shoes. I'm not sure I could run in them but who knows - maybe in a few weeks!
