Technology Explained >>>
Technology Explained

Reebok EasyTone is an innovative toning shoe that has been designed to strengthen and tone key muscles in the leg and butt while walking or partaking in everyday activities. The main idea behind Reebok EasyTone is to combine fashion and function to help you look good while you work towards your fitness goals.
Invented by the Advanced Concepts Team at Reebok, Reebok Easy Tone footwear unites Balance Ball inspired pods with Moving Air Technology to create a softness and micro-instability with each step to help tone the key leg and butt muscles. The soles of EasyTone trainers feature two pods which are desgined around the benefits of instability training and contain air. The bridge that connects the pods enables the air to move between chambers during a normal stride to add resistance. When walking in Reebok EasyTone the air moves from the pod in the heel to the pod at the forefoot, this increases the volume of air present in the front pod and makes the legs and butt work harder.

Bill McInnis who is the Head of Reebok’s Advanced Innovation team, said: “EasyTone is based on an important technological innovation – Balance Ball-inspired pods with moving air technology. This technology is designed to help force muscles to work harder and adapt, and also allows us to create shoes that look like ordinary sneakers. When you look at the bottom of an EasyTone shoe, you can see the Balance Ball-inspired pods, but you need to walk in the shoes to really feel the difference. The moving air not only creates a softer shoe that your foot can really sink into, but it also changes the profile of the pods as you walk, which is designed to provide muscle toning benefits.”
Since the launch of Reebok Easytone in 2009 they have been hugely popular worldwide. This is due to EasyTone being a footwear solution that is versatile enough to wear everyday and has real health benefits.
The Head of Women’s at Reebok, Katrin Ley, said, “As a fitness and athletics company, it’s important to Reebok to listen to consumers and to support them in all aspects of their fitness lifestyles. We want to provide them with products that make fitness fun and a part of their lives and help them achieve their fitness goals. Reebok has become a leader in the toning category because EasyTone achieves this goal – it is designed to help women tone with every step, encourages them to be active and helps them look fashionable and stylish at the same time.”

Product Comment : Ive not been a big believer of "diet shoes" but I need to shift a few pounds so thought I would give them a go. When I put them on I noticed how cushioned and comfy they were. Even just standing in them you can feel the pods working and walking in them is strange to begin with. I wear them most days and can feel the difference.
How did they fit ? Size was perfect
